What? Hide what? What in the world?
Okay. I get it. Seems odd. So, you will need to listen to learn why this is “a thing” and why I am recommending you take this under deep consideration.
Of course, some of you may not need to hide your website, but you still need to listen to how to handle the very delicate situation discussed in this week’s episode and why you could be losing sales.
Hint: Your website is not always valuable for selling your art.
Enough said… listen and then please add your comments!
This podcast is now available on many apps! iTunes, Spotify, SoundCloud, GooglePlay, and IHeart. Of course, I always want your thoughts and ideas, so listen anywhere, but please come here to share when you are inspired by the podcasts.
You are so right here . I have 9 galleries that take my art ranging from Cape Cod in New England to Naples, Florida and the work that shows on my website could be anywhere in these galleries . I always tell the customer ” if you see it here , it is available and ready to go :”. Most of the galleries post the sales at the end of the month and what you might want could very well be gone .
Thanks for including that other scenario, John. Originals that are for sale in multiple locations are especially tricky to navigate. And good on you, to make such yummy lemonade from what some would consider a puckery lemon: To use the fact that your work is in several galleries as a way to further instill the need to buy now also adds credibility to your collectibility. Awesome way to get a double play from a single statement.
What you see is what you get is as plain a truth as possible! Good on you!
